FOR SERIOUS GOLFERS

THE PERfect golf swing paradox...

3/5/2019

Why do so many ambitious golfers spend so much of their time getting tied up in knots trying to perfect their golf swing technique?

Well, there are numerous possible reasons, but let’s look at the most obvious ones.

The need to perfect your golf swing gives you;
✅ A sense of purpose.
✅ A goal to aim at.
✅ Something to be proud of.
✅ Something that makes you feel confident.
✅ Something that makes you part of the trend.

Or...
It could be something to waste your time doing until you decide to go and do something else.
Strange as this might seem, it’s possible.

Another possible reason could be that golf swing perfection is the goal of your teacher/coach/instructor.

Maybe they want you to be their statue of David—their model dedicated to the pursuit of technical perfection—their masterpiece to show the world...

Whatever the reason, there’s one thing about this approach to golf improvement that doesn’t make much sense.

Perfecting your golf swing doesn’t necessarily make you play the game of golf better.

Yes, you might develop a golf swing that’s greatly admired and shared on the net from player to player and teacher to teacher. .

Something that amasses many likes from the golf swing perfection community.

Now, if you were a gymnast, perfecting routines is the name of the game.

But spending a great deal of your time perfecting your golf swing is not the name of the game because it doesn’t necessarily make your scores lower.

And here’s the thing to understand; golf is defined by the score you shoot—not the swing you make.

That’s the name of the game.

And you have to be able to do that especially when you’re hitting the ball like someone that has no clue.

So, if you are on the golf swing perfection path, do yourself a favour and answer the 4 simple questions below...

These questions might help you to make a decision to travel a different path, one where instead of being one of the many fallen who tried in vain to perfect their golf swing, you become one of the few who is learning to understand what the real game of golf is all about...

1️⃣ Why are you doing it this way?
2️⃣ Who has convinced you that this is the best way to invest your time, effort and money... and what’s in it for them?
