Thanks for your question.
I think most elite level golf instructors have similar philosophies although our coaching experience is quite different and as such we approach player development in different ways.
We want the very best for the golfers we work with just like Sean Foley and we want to help them to achieve their goals and will use whatever means necessary to achieve this.
He is a fine instructor who is helping his golfers to play better which is the whole idea.
His use of statistical data and trackman technology to help support his approach appears to work really well for him.
The new generation of golf instructors for the most part use technology to help them to teach golfers.
We use it less and rely more on our instincts developed over the past 20 to 30 years to help our students.
Technology and statistics are very important and work to support the coaching effort, but we don't rely on it.
That is probably the main difference as I see it.

Thx for answer,
I bought "The Next Generation" in Canada two years ago.

I thing the pecture of the swing that Foley has is possible to use for irons but NOT for woods.

The iron angle of attack is steep compared to the woods and Sean Foley uses the 'Trackman' system to help them to shallow out their downstrokes to improve their driving consistency.

Foley is a good coach.
His technical aspects is sorely lacking though.
